In this crazy time with social distancing, lots of teachers are having to record lessons for the first time.  Lots of work from home people do too.  Here is a quick and straightforward way to record directly in PowerPoint with no other software needed.

Remember, to get to record. you can move in the tabs by hovering your mouse over the ribbon and moving the mouse wheel until you get to insert > audio > record OR with your keyboard by clicking ALT and entering the letters N > 0 > R

Step by Step to Record Audio

  • Select Insert tab > Media Section > Audio
  • Select Record Audio
  • Note: Your device must have a microphone enabled in order to record audio
  •  To review your recording, select Stop and then select Play
  • Select Record to re-record your clip, or select OK if you're satisfied.
  • To move your clip, select & drag the audio icon to where you want it on the slide.
